Not much time to post today so here’s a quick update on some great sites I’ve been meaning to share. One is a blog, the other two merely articles but all great additions to your RSS Feed ReaderLee Odden runs Online Marketing Blog, a wonderful summary of news, great articles, and blog reviews. His marketing blog investigates the intersection of blog marketing, new media public relations and search marketing.

Get paid to Digg

Some folks may not like it but Usersubmitter.com has gone the way of PayPerPost.com and is paying users to enhance the community. Earn $.50 for stories you Digg or pay $20 plus $1 per Digg to get some juice for your own content.As for me, I’m on the fence, sure its questionable but no different than advertising and paying for eyeballs. Its a capitalist economy folks, not socialism or communism, the business with the deepest pockets has an advantage.

Google owns MySpace

This Monday, Google announced their deal to provide search and advertising for News Corp.’s MySpace and other sites. Under the agreement, Google will install its search boxes and keyword-driven ads on MySpace and other Fox Interactive sites giving Google a play in the social networking arena. Of course, many argue MySpace is falling to pieces due to bad press and the growth of Facebook; I’m anxious for more of these significant partnerships reminiscent of Yahoo/eBay.

How to get readers to your blog

Like most bloggers, I suspect you are asking yourself, how do I get users to my blog? Why am I writting this if no on is paying attention? Check out BlogExplosion

No, its not better, its different but you’ll spend countless hours clicking the Stumble button to discover the next website it will recommend based on your tastes. This is a fun site that begins to develop a website profile about you so that it can recommend new websites that you’ll enjoy. You can even set it as your homepage so each time you open your browser, you’ll be introduced to a new, random (though targeted) website.
